The salt mist test of metal products is a kind of salt mist test, which mainly uses the artificial simulated salt mist environmental conditions created by salt spray test equipment to assess the corrosion resistance of the products or metallic materials. Artificial simulation of salt mist environmental test is to use a certain volume space of test equipment-salt spray test chamber, in its volumetric space with artificial methods, resulting in salt mist environment to the product salt spray corrosion performance assessment of quality.
Simulated salt spray test classification:
1 Neutral Salt spray test (NSS test) is one of the most widely used accelerated corrosion test methods in present field. It uses 5% of NaCl solution, the ph value of the solution in the neutral range ($number) as a spray solution. The test temperature was 35 ℃, and the sedimentation rate of salt mist was 1~2ml/80cm2.
2 copper salt accelerated acetic acid salt spray test (Cass test) is a recent development of a rapid salt spray corrosion test, the test temperature of 50 ℃, salt solution to add a small amount of copper salt-copper chloride, strongly induced corrosion. Its corrosion rate is about 8 times times that of the NSS test.
